About AfterHours Answering

AfterHours Answering is run by Yes AI (YES RIGHT PTY LTD, Williamstown VIC), which builds AI voice agents and automation for Australian businesses.
Updated

AfterHours Answering is a Yes AI website about one service: answering business calls with an AI voice agent overnight, at weekends, on public holidays and during busy periods when nobody can get to the phone. Yes AI is the trading name of YES RIGHT PTY LTD, ABN 91 664 546 061, of 11 McGuire Cres, Williamstown VIC 3016.

Who is behind this site?

Yes AI builds AI systems for Australian businesses. Its work falls into four areas, each with its own site:

Area What it covers Read more
Voice agents Inbound answering and outbound calling with Australian voices ai-reception.au
Workflow automation Data entry, invoice processing, CRM updates and other repeated tasks ai-automation.au
Custom and private language models AI that works on your own data customllm.au
AI training Practical sessions for staff ai-workshops.au

The main site is yesai.au. This site goes into after hours, overflow and 24 hour answering in more depth than the main site has room for. The plans and prices quoted here are the same ones published on the Yes AI pricing page.

Who answers the calls?

An AI voice agent, not a person. Yes AI does not run a room of operators, and nothing on this site promises one. The agent speaks with an Australian voice, works from the greeting, questions and rules agreed with each business, and sends a written summary after every call.

When a call needs a person, it goes to that business’s own staff. Urgent calls are transferred live to the nominated on-call person or sent to them by SMS. If nobody answers, the caller is told that a message has been taken and when to expect a call back.

How are the answering agents built and tested?

Each agent is set up for one business. The setup fee on the published plans pays for this work, and the timing is confirmed in a written quote.

  1. Scope. Agree which calls the agent answers, in which hours, and what counts as urgent, working from the business’s own call records where it has them.
  2. Configure. Write the greeting, the questions for each kind of call, and the call flows, and load the on-call roster and the addresses that receive summaries.
  3. Connect. Point the business’s phone number at the agent with a divert, and link the agent to the business’s software where that software is on the integration list or has an API.
  4. Test. Run role-played calls for every rule, plus the awkward ones: upset callers, bad lines, wrong numbers and callers who ask for a person. Fix what fails and test again.
  5. Train. Show the team how summaries arrive, how to change the on-call roster and how to ask for a change to the script.
  6. Go live. Switch the divert on, watch the first weeks of calls closely and adjust the rules as real callers arrive.

The integrations Yes AI names are Cliniko, Xero, HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, ServiceM8, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Other systems are connected through their API where one exists.

What will the agent not do?

  • Pretend to be a person. Yes AI recommends a greeting that says an AI assistant is answering, and the agent says so if asked.
  • Give medical, legal or financial advice. Anyone describing a danger to life is told to hang up and call 000.
  • Quote prices, fees or policies the business has not approved.
  • Decide on its own what is urgent. The business writes those rules.

These limits are deliberate. An AI agent is good at answering every call, asking the same questions and writing things down. It is poor at judging situations nobody planned for, and it is the wrong first contact for people in distress. The comparison with human answering services sets out where each one fits.

Who is this site for?

It is written for owners and office managers who are deciding what should happen to their phones once the doors close. Most of them run a trade or home service business, a clinic, a property or strata office, a professional firm or a venue, and today they send night calls to voicemail, divert the business line to someone’s mobile, or pay a staffed answering service. The guides cover that decision in order: what each option costs, how urgent calls should reach a person, and what to ask any provider before signing, whether or not that provider is Yes AI.

How this site is written

  • Prices come from the published Yes AI price list, in Australian dollars and ex GST.
  • Laws, regulator guidance and vendor facts link to the official source, and each page shows the date it was last reviewed. Legal points are general information, not legal advice.
  • The site carries no testimonials, star ratings or client case studies.
  • Statistics appear only where we could open the source and confirm it. Where we could not, as with figures on how many callers hang up at voicemail, we say so instead of repeating them.

How do you reach a person at Yes AI?

Email hello@yesai.au. Calls to (03) 9003 0111 are answered 24 hours a day by a Yes AI voice agent, which takes your details and passes them on for a call back, so ringing that number is also a quick way to hear what an agent sounds like. For a demo or a quote for your own business, use the enquiry form. How this site handles your details is set out in the privacy policy.
